Hey all,
I just wanted to send out a quick update on this weekend. We will be arriving at our new tailgate spot about 9am on Sunday. We will be grilling burgers (hope to have them ready about 1ish). As I’m sure that it will be a mess with all of the people, we want to get into the stadium early to explore and see all it has to offer. This is a big event and we want to enjoy it fully! Don’t want to be tied to the pit all day.
Since there is no re-entry, we obviously won’t be cooking at halftime.
Just wanted to let everyone know what our plan is.

We bought a new tailgate TV! And it’s HUGE! Beau is doing the happy dance, as I type this. It’s pretty cool! We also have our official tailgate website up and running (as you can see here)! I just can’t help but sing Beyoncé.

I think Beau thinks Beyoncé does the “Single Ladies” dance for every song, so I’m singing this and he is doing those moves. : ) It’s cute.
Now we just have to finish building the TV mount and we will be ready!

It’s been supposedly coming for awhile now, but Beau finally got our official tailgate packet. He has been talking about it everyday. Just waiting for the mailman to come. And it’s all here! (Sadly, the contents of the envelope wasn’t all that exciting. Especially compared to the excitement of the season tickets package. But whatever.)
The season opener is so close! We can finally see the light at the end of the off-season tunnel!

We managed to take care of all of the trailer maintenance on the hottest weekend of the year. In the sun. Next to a big hunk of metal. Needless to say, there was some serious sweat involved.
BUT! The WHOLE trailer has been scrubbed and cleaned and repainted! I’m pretty sure the trailer will only cook if you call her “Black Beauty” now.
I will say, the 3 trips to different hardware stores for the paint paid off. She’s a beauty. As for us, we are dog tired. And that’s an understatement. We will be lucky if we can recover by this time next weekend.
All in all, it was a weekend of hardwork, but now we can start the season at a gorgeous new stadium with a sparkle in our eye (and on our trailer!) Did you really think we were about to show up in last year’s cracking, peeling paint? Come on now.
Beau chainsawed all of the wood for the year. We cleaned out the storage room. (Sidenote: It was hot. Like HOT in there.) We washed all of the chairs that were nice and grimy from last season. They were so gross. You are welcome.
Getting everything ready for a great start to the season! I don’t know who kicks off the season on a Sunday, but we are ready! #SundaysBest for the season opener! 34 days!
